Just a little note based on Marcella's ppost about this game. Be careful what you have the kids do, depending on where you are teaching. If In China, for example, never ask a kid to stand on hei or her chair. From what I have been told here, it is considered bad luck to stand on a chair. Many people here avooid standing on a chair at all costs. Different cultures will have different superstitions and taboos. Know something about the culture that you are working with before asking the kids to do something that may be against those superstitions or taboos. If a child resists you when you ask something like that, change your strategy, not the child's wishes.

Yes, cultural differences can make a game go really wrong and the teacher will have no idea why they won't participate. If you go through a program, most (should) have a training or orientation program that includes some of that.

I use a song for the Days of the weeek which is titled appropriately "Days Of The Week." The kids like it because it is a video and it has silly graphics. There is a song for the months of the year also, but i have not used it as much.
