Post Thanks and printing problem
hi Mark,
Thank you for a great site I have been using it for my hearing impaired students and their language development.
I have noticed on the new Christmas crosswords/wordfinds etc that there is a big grey rectangle of graphic covering the text and this is how it prints. Is it my computer or is it the master?
Keep up the good work and I hope you can fix the problem.

I'm glad the site has been helpful. I'm always amazed at how many different specialties actually use my materials. And, welcome to the forums!

Printing problems... Hmm...

These are my general printing advice:

If the page is loaded but you can't view the page on your screen or it appears garbbled, you may need the newest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. I'm using Adobe 7.0 to make the resource files and some people have had problems with earlier versions of Acrobat Reader. www.adobe.com

If the files are blanking out on printing but are fine on your computer screen, it's probably an incompatibility with Adobe and your printer's print drivers. You can solve the problem by choosing print as image from the advanced print window. This will send pixilated data to your printer and will take longer to print. (It is possible to go to your printer's web site and download and install new print drivers but that's a bit of a drag and not a 100% sure-fix.)

If the file continues to time-out and never loads, you can right click and save the file to your computer. Then you should be able to open it from your computer. (Rebooting your system is also another common fix for things that worked yesterday but aren't working right now, but again a bit of a drag.)

If you continue to have problems, et me know.

Thanks

Great! I'm glad you got them to print.

because if those three points above don't work, I usually don't have any other advice :|
